Mr. Posard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree from the University of California, Berkeley and did undergraduate work at the University of California, Santa Barbara in Business/Economics. He has over 25 years of experience in architecture and construction ranging from residential, hospitality, commercial, institutional, civic, cold-climate, and high-rise projects. His extensive background in design, construction and construction management has included work in concrete and steel with emphasis on wood-framed construction and building envelope design.
Mr. Posard is well known for his expertise and as a lead expert witness involving forensic inspections, code analysis, development of repair recommendations used in cost estimating, cost scheduling/delay analysis, repair and design-build applications, and preparation of construction documents. He is often called upon by building owners, property managers, design professionals, subcontractors, and members of the legal and judicial system to assist with design and construction defect related cases, and has also served as a mediator.
Mr. Posard is a licensed architect in California, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New York. He is also a licensed general building contractor in California and Hawaii. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), LEED Certified, NCARB certified, and holds membership in the ICBO, AAMA, ASTM, CMAA, WESTCON, WSRCA, ICA, AGAC, and the ACI.
